boss one

boss one is an Ethernet connectivity option with the same size and shape as pCOWeb SE, ensuring compatibility with all CAREL programmable controllers that feature the BMS card option. boss one DIN, instead, is the alternative enabling the same functionalities with an external 4 DIN module that can be connected, via RS485 or Ethernet, to any CAREL controller or even to a third party device with Modbus communication. 
The software differs substantially from pCOWeb, with the introduction of numerous features that cover the same applications, yet with much higher levels of IT security, usability and flexibility. All of this exploits the experience and reliability inherited from the boss range, on which the boss one internal logic and user interface are based.

boss one is available in two software versions, called “gateway” and “supervisor”: both can manage a single unit, but differ in terms of the type of application they refer to. boss one DIN exists only in the "supervisor" version. The “gateway” version has been created to mainly allow integration of the unit into a local BMS that communicates via Modbus, BACnet, SNMP protocols. The “supervisor” version, on the other hand, is intended for applications that, in addition to field protocols, require supervisory features, such as managing log files, sending emails or instant messages for alarms, and communicating with the outside world (Internet) to CAREL cloud systems or third-party systems via XML or MQTT protocolS. The supervisory version also allows communication via the Redfish protocol, which is very popular for data centre monitoring, particularly when liquid cooling is used.
